The Handling blue strike threatens Ryanair flights in Zaragoza from this August

Aug 8, 2025

The flights that are one this summer Ryanair from Zaragoza To destinations such as London, Paris, Brussels, Milan, Palma or Marrakech could be altered by the strike called in the Blue Handling company, responsible for the land assistance services of the Irish group in Spain. The mobilization will begin on August 15 and could be extended for more than four months, potentially affecting hundreds of passengers who have planned to fly from the Aragonese capital.

As Servimedia has collected, the strike – convened by the UGT union – affects all the bases and work centers of Blue Handling in Spain, which includes the operations necessary to guarantee shipments, landing, luggage control, cabin cleaning or aircraft refueling. Although Zaragoza is not a direct basis of the company, the routes operated by Ryanair from the Aragonese airport depend on its national operation, so any alteration in the country as a whole could take effect.

Stops throughout 2025

The unemployment has been summoned in three time slots each day: from 5.00 to 9.00, from 12.00 to 15.00 and from 9:00 p.m. to 23.59 hours. It will begin strongly during the bridge of August 15, 16 and 17, and then continue every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 31, 2025.

Servimedia collects that the union justifies the call for the lack of stable employment, the abuse of complementary hours in part -time personnel, the lack of conciliation and the imposition of “disproportionate” sanctions for rejecting extensions of the day. It also denounces the repeated breach of the company of the opinions issued by the Joint Commission of the Sector Agreement, which regulates salary guarantees and pluses.

Flights from Zaragoza

The low -cost Áir company maintains this summer a dozen connections from Zaragoza, including London-Stansted, Milan-Bergamo, Paris, Palma de Mallorca, Brussels-Chaleroi, Fez, Marrakech and Santiago de Compostela.

With an increasing operation in summer, and an airport that aspires to expand routes and beat passenger record in the medium term, any alteration in the earth service could be translated into cancellations or delays in these flights. At the moment, there are no clear forecasts on the specific impact it may have on the Aragonese airport.
