
Zaragoza offers almost 1,100 training places for employment in high demand sectors
An updated and agreed program with sectoral requests will open the possibility of acquiring knowledge from almost 1,100 people without employment and those who seek to be recalified to improve their work position. He Zaragoza City Council, after listening to the needs of a constant evolution market that entrepreneurs transferred, has opened the registration of the 2025-2026 Employment Training Program of the Municipal Institute of Employment and Business Development of Zaragoza (IMEFEZ) with an offer of almost 60 free courses.
The programming responds to a renewed and strategic approach that reinforces the connection between training and employability, in addition to presenting various novelties. First, the redesign of training itineraries in collaboration with representatives of the local business fabric, following the success model of “Hospitality+”. As a result, this course incorporates new itineraries in carpentry and plumbing, aligned with the real hiring needs of these sectors.
Digital competences, a transverse need today, will be enhanced from the City of Zaragoza under the agreement signed with the Orange Foundation, so that formative pills will be included in basic digital competences, aimed at reducing the digital divide and facilitating labor insertion in technological environments.
Courses
To all this is added the promotion of entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the office of impulse to the autonomous, through specific training actions in administrative, fiscal and labor management, aimed at persons interested in initiating their own business project.
The most prominent formative areas are: electricity, plumbing and air conditioning; industrial automation and web design; graphic design and carpentry; Gardening, Agroecology and Environment; kitchen and hospitality; Socio -health care; and administrative management.
In this 2025-2026 courses, online and semipresencial modalities are reinforced as an alternative for people who need more facilities to reconcile or avoid mobility. Meanwhile, the face -to -face will be taught in the Municipal Training Centers: Salvador Allende, Río Gállego, Historic District, Oliver and Ricardo Magdalena. To this program are added training actions within the “Digitalízate” project that was presented in June and that include training actions of digital training or artificial intelligence. On the other hand, the City Council of Zaragoza continues to successfully develop the current experiential programs that are currently using 40 people.
APPROVEMENT OF INAEM
With the people who register on this occasion, the city government will have given training to more than 3,000 people in terms of mandate with this tool for labor insertion and the improvement of competences. To this is added the guarantee provided by the Aragonese Institute of Employment, the INAEM, through the collaboration agreement and the subsidies, in addition to being the entity that accredits and recognizes these training for the labor market.
