Neighborhood and socio -educational groups of Saragossa They mobilize this Wednesday to protest against the closure of seven of the 27 young areas of the city announced by the municipal government that leads Natalia Chueca.
The appointment, convened by Sos Young Areas and the Socio -educational Assembly, will take place at 7:00 p.m. in front of the Young Area of Valdefierro, on Valdefierro Avenue, 22. Organizers call to participate to defend what they consider a key resource for leisure, non -formal education and the integration of youth in the neighborhoods.
The Federation of Barrios Associations of Zaragoza (FABZ) warned that the current direction of municipal youth policies puts coexistence and social cohesion at risk. In a statement, the entity recalled that the model of youth houses and project integration projects implemented three decades ago has been “fundamental” to offer healthy leisure alternatives, promote roots and create community networks around young people.
The FABZ regrets that, despite having claimed during the last year an open debate to update this model, the local government has chosen to reduce its scope without a consensus process.
